Gerrand Floorings is proud to announce the exclusive Bay of Plenty launch of Nodi’s new handcrafted wool carpet collection, now available in our Mount Maunganui showroom.

Known and loved for their natural fibre rugs, Nodi’s move into carpet feels like a natural evolution—and one we’re incredibly excited to bring to our community.

“We’ve admired Nodi for years,” says Gerrand Floorings owner Leanne Rich. “Their approach to design, their care for natural materials, and their emphasis on craft aligns beautifully. So when the opportunity came to partner on this exclusive release, it felt like the perfect fit.”

Crafted from pure New Zealand wool and GoodWeave-certified, the new collection is soft and grounding.  From quiet, neutral tones to distinctive textures, each carpet speaks to the kind of understated luxury that enhances everyday living.

“The collection has many things to love but as a whole all the styles and colours create a sense of overall calm and connection – something many New Zealand homeowners will cherish in their home sanctuary escape” says Leanne. Another wow factor for Leanne and her team is the process where every carpet is handled and handwoven on traditional looms not run through large and noisy machines.

Leanne comments that wool – the natural miracle fibre “Is now more than ever returning to favour with an increasing number of homeowners again or some new generation for the first time” – the benefits of wool are the same as they were at the beginning of time – naturally hypoallergenic, flame-resistant and moisture-regulating while giving comfort and performance.

For Leanne and the team, bringing Nodi’s new chapter to life has been a hands-on process. “This isn’t just about adding another product to our showroom,” Leanne explains. “It’s about championing craftsmanship and offering our clients something truly special—carpet that’s made with integrity, and made to be lived on.”
